Project Overview
We developed an inventory management system that combines a web application with a mobile stocktaking app.
The web application manages inventory records, stock movements and balances. Warehouse staff use the mobile app to scan barcodes and record quantities counted on site.
Together, the applications connect daily inventory management with physical stock counts.
Inventory Management
The web application supports core inventory operations such as:
- Stock-in and stock-out
- Stock balance calculation
- Stock adjustments
- Inventory tracking
- Stock comparison
- Inventory reporting
The system provides a central place for users to manage and review inventory information.
Mobile Stocktaking
Warehouse staff can count stock where it is stored using the mobile app. They scan an item’s barcode, confirm the matching item and enter the quantity they physically count. The recorded count can then be compared with the system’s stock balance to review any differences.
Recording the count on site reduces the need for paper tally sheets and for entering the same quantities again at a desk.
